I love browsing CraigsList.com looking for graphic design jobs I will be able to get once I graduate and today I found the ultimate one! I love searching the jobs on craigslist because it gives me inspiration to keep doing well in school and to keep learning everything I can about design.

We are looking for an in-house graphics person to join our team and help develop this department. We would like someone that has a fresh, modern, feminine and fashion-focused solid design style (think: beautiful, hip, trendy with a slight edge), excellent computer graphic skills and an amazing work ethic. Our company is fun, passionate and sort of intense about what we do. We are in the forefront of our industry and need your help to stay cutting edge!
Duties include, but not limited to:
Print media: Creating trade magazine advertisements, flyers, newsletters, product sales flyers, educational materials, office forms and stationery, tradeshow booth signage and help with product catalogs.
Web media: Creating advertisements, e-flyers, newsletters, educational materials and flash movies (optional). Managing email marketing service account (ex. Mail Chimp, Constant Contact)
Website maintenance: updating, editing and uploading product photos and embedding videos. Helping the company create new features for the website (no need to write code). Managing the visual consistency of our website (no HTML coding required).
Social media and networking: Knowledge of creating and maintaining business accounts like Facebook, Twitter, etc. is a plus.
Maintenance of product photos and artwork: collection of photos from manufacturers, taking photos, altering and enhancing photos in Photoshop, saving to proper files in various file formats, making sure photos are available to customers.
Other: Communication with printers, other graphic artists, vendors, customers and the web master. Ordering supplies for the graphics department. Researching new graphic and media growth opportunities for the company.
MUST HAVE:
Proficient knowledge of Adobe Suite CS3 – CS4; specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Previous experience in print and web design.
Experience doing “creative” layout work.
Some updating website experience (no html needed)
Meticulous attention to detail and editing skills. Critical eye for typos, proof-reading information in work.
EXCELLENT communication skills with supervisor, vendors and team members.
Experience in branding to streamline our brand and overall representation. Push existing logo, color-scheme to a polished consistent look. Maintain quality control of company identity.
Work quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines.
The ability to prioritize projects and show flexibility when priorities change.
Above average work ethic and interest in helping your company grow.
A positive, upbeat personality and “can-do” attitude.
A resourceful, curious nature with excellent problem-solving abilities.
IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD ALSO HAVE:
A modern design style that leans toward high-end luxury brand fashion, cosmetic or décor brands. Our focus is a female-target audience.
Looking for someone very creative, who pushes design to the next level and knows a number of creative graphic techniques.
A strong interest in typography and creative fonts.
Digital photography experience. Professional camera/photography skills are a huge plus!
Experience creating Flash movies/slide shows not necessary, but a plus.
Copy writing and editing experience.
Experience with new social media networks that can help our company grow in these areas.
Prior experience in retail sales, business-to-business sales, management, cosmetics, fashion, health & well-being products a big plus.
Location: Phoenix near airport. Must work at office.
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 9:30 – 5:30 Over-time is required during certain parts of the year.
